What are Clinical Acupressure and
Process Acupressure?

Clinical Acupressure utilizes finger pressure on acupoints throughout the body to promote and enhance the body’s own self-healing and harmony. Often called “acupuncture without needles” this treatment is based on the ancient principles of acupuncture, and regulates and balances the body’s system. This therapeutic technique releases blocked energy and enhances the balance of energy, thereby relieving pain, tensions and toxicities in the body. This technique is used for musculoskeletal disorders to decrease discomfort and improve overall function.

Process Acupressure also uses finger pressure on acupoints along the body to promote better health and renewed energy but goes to a deeper level, linking body, mind and soul. This treatment utilizes a “whole person” approach which involves the individual in their own healing and growth process. It takes the patient through a journey of discovering the root of their discomfort and honors the body’s readiness to release, heal, and change. Reflecting on the soul and inner child can lead to growth and opportunity to heal from within.

What symptoms can Acupressure relieve?
Typically, Acupressure is used to address physical symptoms such as neck pain, back pain, headaches, migraines, difficulty standing and sitting, healing from injuries and menopause. It is also effective in treating systemic problems such as congestion, breathing issues, upset stomach, gastro-intestinal irregularities, colds, flu, and allergies.

Acupressure is extremely effective and helpful in relieving the side-effects of cancer treatment such as: dizziness, fatigue, loss of appetite, decreased immune system, anxiety and depression.

Receiving acupressure is a relaxing experience; it eases the stress in your system and leaves you feeling centered and at ease. Recipients of this therapy often report an immediate decrease in discomfort.

What can I expect from an Acupressure treatment?
For your comfort and relaxation, you may remain fully clothed for your treatment. You will experience gentle finger pressure on different points along your body. Depending on the symptom you are experiencing, treatment time will last anywhere between 45 and 60 minutes.
