Exercise / Rehabilitation
Occupational rehabilitation therapy treats musculoskeletal, neurological and orthopedic injury cases to achieve the goal of improving function by decreasing pain, improving movement and regaining strength. All services provided at Total Approach Therapy are direct one to one for the entire treatment session. No assistants or aides complete any portion of services provided.
Through the use of several techniques a person can resume their normal life. Those techniques include craniosacral therapy, acupressure, postural release technique and neuromuscular re-education. Regaining strength, endurance and function is achieved with various types of therapeutic exercises including isometric, polymetric, endurance exercises as well as ergonomic work station analysis. Ergonomic analysis is based on risk factors defined by OSHA and a specialty of Total Approach Therapy with over 25 years experience in the field.
Patient education is a fundamental and critical component of each person’s rehabilitation treatment plan. Teaching patients about their anatomy, risk factors, the mechanism of an injury and prevention is the best way to avoid potential future injuries as well as heal current injuries.
